Roses is an annual sporting competition between the University of York and Lancaster University, with each university alternately hosting the event each year. For the first time in the history of Roses, wakeboarding was included in the competition, and we won. The event was held Salford Watersports Centre and did not contribute to the overall Roses score as the sport's inclusion was in its trial period. More information of the event can be found in the story link below.
Competing for YUWake at Roses is a brilliant way to get involved in the largest varsity competition in Europe. We enter riders of all abilities, so all that is required if you are new to the sport is at least two pre-Roses training sessions. Our competition is normally held the weekend before the main Roses weekend so you don't need to worry about competing at the wakeboarding clashing with other sporting commitments.
